Description

This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This is not a solicitation announcement or a request for proposal or quotes. This document does not obligate the Government to award a contract. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (HubZone, 8(a), small business, small disadvantaged business, service disabled veteran owned small business, etc.). Response to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After the responses to this announcement are reviewed the Government may issue a Request for Proposal solicitation for assisted living residents under NAICS code 622110. All interested offerors will have to respond to the formal solicitation announcement in order to be considered eligible for selection. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center and Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHS) is inquiring for sources for inpatient assisted living resident services that also address addiction therapy. These services are for psychiatric step-down services in providing the appropriate level of care to veterans discharging from the VA inpatient psychiatric mental health care units. The selected assisted living residence (ALR) is to provide regular 24 hour a day supervision to veterans. They must provide a physically safe environment and also be able to administer medication via certified staff. This ALR must be geographically located within a 60 mile radius of the Denver VAMC which is located at: 1055 Clermont Street, Denver, Colorado. This distance is essential to ensure patient transportation between the Denver VAMC facility and the ALR. The Assisted Living Residence must be currently licensed as an Assisted Living Residence by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. The facility must have a licensed staff of psychiatrists, psychologists, master social workers, licensed professional counselors, and nurses. The staff must be proficient in Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The ALR must keep medications and patient files in a secured area. The facility must be able to provide regular supervision of veterans on a 24 hour basis. The ALR needs to provide the resident patients with services and care that is necessary to protect their health, safety, and well being. Any information submitted by respondents to this notice is strictly voluntary. Requests for solicitation will not receive a response since a formal solicitation for these services is not yet available. There will be no reimbursement made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement. Responses to this sources sought notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. If the Government chooses to post a solicitation at a later time it will be posted on the fedbizops website.
