Description

Interested Offerors must sign and return the attached Non-Disclosure Agreement in order to receive a copy of the solicitation. Dear Prospective Offeror: The Smithsonian Institution (Smithsonian) hereby invites you to submit a proposal for solicitation #RN11SOL0032 (“RFP”) for distribution, fulfillment, and call center services. Smithsonian Enterprises, the revenue-generating business unit of the Smithsonian Institution recently merged the retail stores and catalog/web groups under one organization called Smithsonian Retail. While a number of the functional areas have been combined, the distribution function for retail stores and catalog/web fulfillment are operated independently and both are outsourced. The Smithsonian is interested in achieving efficiencies and benefits in the retail stores distribution and catalog/web/fulfillment operations by consolidating its current operations. Interested Offerors will be required to submit a proposal in response to the RFP, which will be due by 2:00 P.M., DC local time on Friday, December 16, 2011. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR A FEDERAL CONTRACT AND IS THEREFORE NOT GOVERNED BY FEDERAL PROCUREMENT PROCEDURES. Please note that interested Offerors will need to sign the attached Non-Disclosure Agreement and submit it via email to Cindy Zarate at zaratec@si.edu, in order to receive a copy of the solicitation.
