AMC: 2C No Out-Year Requirements First Article: NSN: 1680-00-659-0122, P/N: 50-3352-7; NOUN: GearboxAssembly; Applicable to KC-135 Aircraft; QTY: 1 lot; Delivery: 1 eachTBD. CONTRACTOR FIRST ARTICLE, NONE TO BE EXPENDED; In addition, a testreport, and material certification will be required. First Articles may be waived if criteria are met. Current qualified sources are: The BoeingCompany. Cage Code: 81205, and Thomas Instruments. Cage Code: 5H860,Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), Justification: Supplies (or Services)required are available from only one or a limited number of responsiblesource(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agencyrequirements. Surplus is not acceptable for this item. Rights Guard certification required. Export Controlled approved vendor(s) only. Qualification Requirements exist. This is a full and open requirement. All proposals received within 45days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered bythe Government. A Determination by the Government not to compete thisproposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely withinthe discretion of the Government. Information received will normally beconsidered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct acompetitive procurement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or themanufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award inaccordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies theoffice where additional information can be obtained concerningqualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested insubcontracting opportunities in connection with the describedprocurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Specifications,plans, or drawings relating to the procurement described are incompleteor not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. Based on market research, the Government is not using the policiescontained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in itssolicitation for the described supplies or services. However,interested persons may identify to the contracting officer theirinterest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with acommercial item within 15 days of this notice. Note: The Competition Advocate (CA) at each contracting activity/office(as defined in DLAD 2.101) shall act as the ombudsman and attempt toresolve contractor complaints. DLA Aviation's AOB CA/ombudsman can bereached at (405) 734-8241, facsimile (405) 734-8129. Complaints whichcannot be so resolved shall be forwarded to the HQ through J-72 forresolution by the DLA competition advocate. Each activity isresponsible for developing procedures for executing the duties andresponsibilities of its local ombudsman. Electronic procedure will be used for this solicitation.
