In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)5.207, the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Far East (NAVFAC FE), intends to solicit competitive offers for a Firm Fixed-Price Contract for Procurement of Vehicles for Camp Zama and Okinawa Field Office, Japan. ITEM 0001: Automobile, Sedan, Compact, 4-door, 5-passenger, gasoline engine driven, 4X2, Right Hand Drive. QUANTITY: Fourteen (14 EA) with English Navigation System Installed. MINIMUM DIMENSIONS (Metric/Inches and feet): Millimeter Inches Wheel Base 2,700 103.4 Overall Length 4,565 177.2 " Width 1,695 66.7 " Height 1,475 56.7 DELIVERY POINT: All transportation charges borne by the contractor to the Commander, United States Forces, Japan, 441st MI BN, Unit 45009, APO AP 96338-5009 Bldg. 103 Camp Zama Japan DELIVERY DATE: The vehicle shall be delivered at the delivery point specified above within 90 calendar days after date of contract award. This acquisition will be issued unrestricted under NAICS Code 423110. The solicitation is estimated to be released on AsiaNECO on/or around the 05 December 2011. This will be an electronic solicitation only in PDF Format. No paper solicitations will be issued. Prospective bidders/offerors must register for this project in AsiaNECO, in order to receive notification of availability of solicitation documents. Notification of any changes to the solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the internet. It is the Contractor ™s responsibility to check the above listed address daily or any posted changes to solicitation ™s plans and specifications. This pre-solicitation notice is intended for local sources in accordance with FAR 52.202(a)(12). Local sources are those persons or entities normally resident and licensed to conduct business in Japan. Offers from non-local sources will not be considered under this pre-solicitation notice in accordance with the provisions of the U.S. “ Japan Status of Forces Agreement. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in the Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) 252.204-7004 and 252.232-7009, in order to receive award.
