Description
Sources Sought The Philadelphia VA Medical Service seeks to institute an Air-Gapped LAN system in Building #21 at the PVAMC, 3900 Woodland Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19104. This hard wired system will replace the existing wireless line. The air-gapped LAN will be used for the following purposes: a. PVAMC serves as a satellite center to the NIH National Center for Research Resources (NCRR) program based at UPENN for the Cancer Center ™s Flow Cytometer core. b. To provide unfiltered internet access for the overall investigative research program so that VA required literature searches that are a mandatory requirement for both VA and other federally funded protocols can be completed utilizing access to the Worldwide Web. c. To provide for a timely and efficient dissemination of information of research knowledge to VA/PENN faculty, staff and other participating collaborators. Such activities include, but are not limited to the expedient review of papers in progress, the dissemination of project-specific research data and the transfer of research laboratory experimentation data to other participants. Contractor shall provide for installation of fifty (50) dedicated cable drops at designated locations throughout Building #21. 1.The following specifications and equipment will be utilized by the VA in the Annex: a.Air-Gapped LAN service is required with a minimum 1.5 Mbps download speed and 1.5 Mbps upload speed. b.One T1 line. c.One router and two switches to support 50 stations and 1 T1 circuit. d.Dynamic IP address forwarding that pushes the IP address to each user ™s PC. 2.For additional information, contact Research Automated Data Processing Application Coordinator (ADPAC), (215) 823-5800, ext. 5947 and/or Program Management Officer in the Medical Research Service of the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, (215) 823-5800, ext. 6023.
