Description
SF-1449 Combined synopsis/solicitation FORT CARSON, COLORADO BRIDGE INSPECTION UNDERBRIDGE INSPECTION VEHICLE OCTOBER 2011 SCOPE OF WORK 2. SCOPE An under bridge inspection vehicle is needed to conduct a fracture critical member (FCM) inspection of the railroad bridge (see attached photos) at Fort Carson, Colorado. The inspection vehicle shall have the ability to access the bridge and provide hands on access to all bridge members. "Hands on," means that each bridge member, shall be within arm's length of the inspector. The vehicle shall not exceed 33 tons and shall have the minimum horizontal under bridge reach of 30 feet. The equipment shall be in good working condition and the contractor is responsible for providing a qualified operator for the equipment. Pricing for the equipment shall be all inclusive, e.g. parts, fuel, lubricants, labor, and all mobilization/demobilization expenses. Quote shall be lump sum in nature. The Government will not be responsible for payment of downtime due to mechanical failure, the lack of a qualified operator, or any other reason within the control of, or due to the fault or neglect of, the Contractor. 3. SCHEDULE The equipment is needed for 10 hours of use by USACE, equipment shall be onsite and ready for use starting at 8am.Time of use does not include mobilization/demobilization, loading, or unloading of equipment. The work shall be completed between January 02, 2012 and February 28, 2012. The vendor shall provide the government with available dates for the allotted time frame and the dates will be locked into at the time the contract is awarded.
