- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for a Custom Vacuum Chamber.NASA/GSFC intends to purchase two modified vacuum chambers from Kurt J Lesker Company. Tothe following specifications: Custom Chamber 304L SST 14'OD CF Chamber Flanges(32'Between)12'OD x 3/16'Wall Main Body (2) x Table Mounting Cradles (2) x4−1/2'CF Ports (2) x Lifting Lugs (2) x 14'CF End Flanges With2−3/4'CF Ports With (5) x 0.050' Polished Aluminum Shields SimilarDesign to NASA GFSFC Photos Provided Internal Dowel Pin ShieldMounts (4) Internal Optical Table Mounting Tabs (Mounting HoleSpacing in XY Plane in an Increment of 1')The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform theeffort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local timeon November 30th. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for thepurpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and opencompetition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretionof the government.Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
