Description
PLEASE NOTE: THE ARCHIVE DATE DOES NOT REFLECT SOLICITATION DUE DATE. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking competent and qualified Small Business construction contractors interested in providing offers for this project. Work will consist of, but is not limited to: BUILDING EXTERIOR1.Remove roof to existing wood deck and install a new PVC membrane roof system. (Roof diameter is approximately 52'.) Replace wood deck as needed up to 25%. 2.Install a new counterpoise.3.Remove and replace the all wood fascia boards, 2"x12", and fascia.4.Clean, rust treat, and install antenna steel tie down anchor steel posts. 5.Replace and paint roof steel post bases.6.Remove, clean, repair, caulk, paint, and install fiberglass antenna cone and door with new gaskets, with new support system.7.Clean and paint antenna DME/tacan enclosure and clean and paint sixteen monitor antennas and mounting hardware as needed. The DME/tacan mounting ring shall be replaced.8.Install the tacan mounting ring, DME/tacan and sixteen monitor antennas with FAA personal assistance.9.Clean and paint roof exposed channel beams.10.Remove selected exterior vent hoods, sheet metal trim, unused louvers, through the wall conduits, switches and wireway, and replace selected exterior vent hoods.11.Replace engine generator room exhaust fan.12.Seal unused wall openings.13.Remove abandoned electrical disconnect boxes and conduits, coordinate with drawings.14.Remove building vinyl siding and install fiber cement lap siding.15.Replace two exterior door bottom metal sills and seals.16.Rework engine generator exhaust pipe support.17.Site cleanup BUILDING INTERIOR ENGINE GENERATOR ROOM1.Remove unused HVAC unit and duct.2.Remove VC floor tiles, including tiles containing asbestos, and install new floor tiles.3.Remove and install new vinyl cove base.4.Remove and replace door seals.5.Replacement of water-stained interior ceiling panels.6.Clean, prep, and paint walls, ceiling, and doors. EQUIPMENT ROOM1.Remove unused HVAC diffuser on west wall. Patch and repair wall opening.2.Repair or replace damaged wall and ceiling panels.3.Clean, prep, and paint walls and ceiling, and doors. HURRICANE SUPPLY STORAGE ROOM1.Remove and seal two wall louvers.2.Clean, prep, and paint walls and ceiling.4.Remove VC floor tiles, including tiles containing asbestos, and install new floor tiles.5.Remove and install new vinyl cove base. SPARE PARTS STORAGE CLOSET1.Clean, prep, and paint shelves, walls and ceiling.2.Remove VC floor tiles, including tiles containing asbestos, and install new floor tiles.3.Remove and install new vinyl cove base. All work shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications. 1. This project is a total set-aside for Small Business Concerns. 2. Estimated contract duration is 60 days. 3. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction The small business size standard is: $33.5 Million.4. The estimated offer range for this project is between: $100,000 to $250,000.5. The contractor receiving award is expected to perform at least 25% of the work utilizing their own employees.6. A mandatory site visit will be tentatively conducted the week of November 28th - December 2nd, 2011. The date, time, location, and point of contact will be provided with the solicitation package. AN OFFEROR MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING GO/NO-GO CRITERIA IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A SOLICITATION PACKAGE: a. Complete and return the attached Business Declaration and Document Security Notice to Prospective Offerors.b. Offerors must have the following minimum experience and provide the following information to substantiate the experience: Complete and return the attached Past Experience History document. A listing of at least 3 past or current contracts/projects your firm performed for construction efforts, in the same size ($100,000 to $250,000) and scope of this project. Contracts/projects must be either in process or within the last 5 years. Scope is described above. Similar work must include FAA Facilities, any other Federal Government Facilities, or other life-critical facilities. Offeror shall identify the contracting agency, (FAA or other Federal agencies). You must provide the contract number or project identifier, which includes a point of contact and phone number. The information provided will also be used as part of the responsibility determination. NOTE: Contractors must have active registration in Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before award can be made. Contractors can register at www.ccr.gov/. FAILURE TO SUBMIT ALL REQUIRED INFORMATION WILL DEEM THE REQUEST FOR SOLICITATION AS NON-RESPONSIVE.
