- Description
- ToxCast Prioritization of Environmentally Relevant Chemicals: Genomic Analysis of Tissue/Cell/RNA Samples The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), has a requirement for contractor supplied laboratory testing and analysis services in support of the National Computation Center for Toxicology (NCCT), Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The contractor will provide Genomic Analysis of Tissue/Cell/RNA Samples services. The contractor will use a broad panel of genomics assays, looking at both expression and genotype, and utilize an appropriate range of technologies. Assays may be either microarray-based, or some other technology, but will address specific genes and provide the highest quality data at the best value. The contractor will propose a panel of assays to be used to profile the expression and genotype of biological samples from human, mouse, rat and other species, provided by the EPA. The EPA is interested in the capacity to deliver both assay results (e.g. electronic files) and materials (e.g. microarrays and/or prepped RNA). The Government anticipates ordering a minimum of 400 samples and a maximum of 240,000 samples during the contract period of performance. EPA anticipates the award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, firm-fixed price, Task Order contract with an ordering period of five-years. The applicable NAICS code is 541711, with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This is a total small business set-aside. A draft copy of the performance work statement (PWS) is posted on website: http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd/index.htm#solam. Any supporting documentation and/or relevant information (if applicable) concerning this procurement will be posted on Fedbizopps.gov and EPA?s website at: http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd/index.htm#solam. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be issued December 2011. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the RFP and it will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the RFP is posted for any amendments. Questions are to be submitted in writing to David Murphy, Contracting Officer, at Murphy.david@epa.gov.
