Description
The Contractor shall verify all dimensions and existing conditions before commencement of work. The Contractor shall conduct the following works: a.Maintenance and repair service: The Contractor shall perform maintenance and repair services regardless of consumption in order to correct deficiencies with the plotters thus minimizing breakdowns and service interruptions, extending component service life, and maximizing operating efficiency. Any maintenance work including supply of toner and repair work with labor cost and materials are defined as fixed price contract and work shall be accomplished at no additional cost to the Government. Except where the Contractor can clearly demonstrate that the item or equipment was damaged by the Government ™s failure or natural disaster. The services shall include but not limited to, the work elements listed below. (1) Periodical Maintenance: Periodical maintenance shall be performed in accordance with manufacturer's instruction and maintenance manual. (2) Service Call: Service call is requested by the Contracting Officer or his/her authorized representative for repair work which is required to restore the equipment and system to proper working order. The work shall be conducted as following procedures. (a) Receipt for service call: The Contractor shall provide a means by telephone for the Contracting Officer to contact the Contractor during contractor ™s regular working hours throughout the contract period. (b) Response time: The Contractor shall respond to and begin maintenance and repair work on service calls within three hours after receipt of service call in contractor ™s regular working hours. (c) Completion Time: The Contractor shall complete maintenance and repair work within 4 hours in contractor ™s regular working hours. The Contractor may be allowed to complete the maintenance and repair work beyond the prescribed time frame with indicating reasons of delay and scheduled completion date/time for accomplishment. (3) Documentation: The Contractor shall prepare and submit maintenance and repair work document which is written in Japanese to the Contracting Officer on the same day as the visit.
