- OMBUDSMAN NOTICE Solicitation Package SF1449 THIS PRESOLICITATION NOTICE REPLACES THE NOTICE POSTED FOR HSCG40-11-R-50001 AND HSCG40-11-R-50001A. The U.S. Coast Guard SFLC, Small Boat Product Line has a requirement to establish a program to overhaul USCG Yanmar Diesel 4LHA-DTP ( NSN 2815-01-529-1950) AND 6LPA-STZP/STZP2 (NSN 2815-01-573-1168) marine engines currently used on the 17' Cutter Boat Medium, 23' Over the Horizon (OTH) and the 33' Transportable Port Security Boat ( TPSB ). The overhauls will be completed in accordance with the Coast Guard specifications. All parts shall be new. It is intended to award one (1) Requirements- type contract for one (1) base year and four (4) option years. Delivery will be made to the U.S. Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Center, Building 88, 2401 Hawkins Point Road; Baltimore, Md. 21226-5000. It is the Government's belief that only Yanmar, the original manufacturer of the 4LHA-DTP and 6LPA-STZP/STZP2 marine engines or their authorized repair facilities, can furnish the required parts and services and ensure the proper fit, form and function of its components. Therefore, it is the Governement's intent to solicit only Yanmar and/or their authorized repair facitlities. Industry was given the opportunity to submit their capabilities in the Sought Sources Notice published on FedBizOpps on October 6, 2010. Solicitatio number HSCG40-11-R-50001 and all related specifications are anticipated to be released on December 1, 2010. The due date for the receipt of proposals shall be 30 (thirty) calendar days from the date the solicitation is released. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the Agency. For information, contact the officials listed herein.
