- Description of Products This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 12-233-SOL-00069 and it is issued as Request for Quote (RFQ). This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-36. Brand Name Justification Checkpoint Endpoint (CPES) is currently installed and is the ITIO standard for desktop/laptop encryption, malware/virus protection, and remote/VPN access. Support for the CPES products is required. CPES consists of Software Blades which are independent and flexible security modules that enable you to select the functions you want to build a custom Check Point Security Gateway. Software Blades can be purchased independently or as pre-defined bundles. Support of the Checkpoint products for both hardware failures and software updates are crucial for maintaining superior performance of the CPES products. ITIO and their customers are currently using Checkpoint/Endpoint for Full Disk and Media Encryption, Anti-Malware Protection, and Remote Access/VPN. This purchase is for continued support of the current environment/architecture already in place and used by ITIO and their customers.
