- Description
- The hydrant fueling system on the installation consists of a total of 18 fueling pits and 3 isolation pits. These pits are fed from two 210,000 gallon JP-8 fuel tanks. The hydrant system is and underground loop system with separate buildings housing pumps, filters, and hydrant control systems. The system was installed in 1994 and has not been properly tuned. The system is in general need of a tune-up and testing of all thirty (30) flow control valves. Additionally a panel for remote monitoring and a remote emergency stop are required.
