- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking industry input, including but not limited to professional organizations, associations, companies and vendors with innovative ideas, tools and technology, in support of the Long-Term Bridge Performance (LTBP) program. THIS IS AN ANNOUNCEMENT OF INTENT TO PERFORM MARKET RESEARCH PURSUANT TO FEDERAL ACQUISITION REGULATIONS (FAR) PART 10 MARKET RESEARCH, BY ACCEPTING SUGGESTIONS FROM THE TRANSPORTAION COMMUNITY THAT MAY LATER BE DISSCUSSED DURING A PUBLIC MEETING FOR PARTIES INTERESTED IN THE LONG-TERM BRIDGE PERFORMANCE PROGRAM. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP), and nothing shall be construed herein or through the RFI process to commit or obligate the Government to further action as a result. The result of the market research process may be used, however, to develop the scope for potential future RFPs. The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) is seeking industry input, including but not limited to professional organizations, associations, companies and vendors with innovative ideas, tools and technology, in support of the Long-Term Bridge Performance (LTBP) program. FHWA invites participation from the bridge engineering and other interested communities to an open meeting which will allow private firms and associations who share a mutual interest in improving the health and operational capacity of our nation's bridges and highways to offer innovative ideas and/or technological resources in support of LTBP program initiatives.
