- This is an intended sole source announcement. Space and Naval WarfareCenter Atlantic (SPAWAR Atlantic) intends to award a firm fixed price purchaseorder to Bren-Tronics, Inc. for the procurement of 270 each - P/N BT-70791ABATTERY LITHIUM ION, NSN: 6140-01-490-4316 Model BB-2590/U SMBus. Onlyone responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agencyrequirements. Bren-Tronics, Inc. is the sole manufacturer of the CommercialOff the Shelf (COTS) radio ancillary equipment listed above and owns orcontrols the proprietary designs of these items. To ensure the current levelsoffunctionality, compativility, maintainability, and configuration control andinterface reliability with existing systems continue, it is mandatory that onlythesupporting ancillary listed above be procured. The items being purchased mustbe compatible and interchangeable with existing fielded equipment and thefeatures can only be obtained by using the sole source manufacturedequipment. Award is anticipated by COB 23 November 2011. This synopsis isposted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitiveoffers. No electronic or hard copy Request For Quote (RFQ) will be prepared ormade available for distribution. This action will be conducted under FAR Part12and FAR Part 13. NAICS is 335912. CCR registration is required for all vendorsdoing business with the Department of Defense. Quotes are due to theContract Specialist, Victoria Franklin at victoria.franklin@navy.mil by 1:00p.m.Eastern Standard Time, 23 November 2011. A determination by theGovernment not to compete this proposed action based on responses to thisnotice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
