- Description
- The project is for the contractor to grub, clear, cut/fill, and remove material and rubble from site. Contractor shall provide site drain by sloping terrain toward natural drainage. Place of Performance: Three project sites require site preparation; they are in the communities of Tactic, El Rancho and Sarrax-Och. These communities are located in the Coban Municipality, Guatemala. Contract Information: The award will be based on Lowest Priced, Technically Acceptable Offer (LPTA) best value acquisition which will be cited in the solicitation. The period of performance of this contract is based on 60 calendar days from the date of the award. The resulting contract type shall be firm fixed price. The estimated construction cost for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000 dollars. Site Visit: An organized site visit is scheduled for the 12 December 2011 at 0900 hours. If you are interested in attending a site visit for this solicitation, please inform the contracting office point of contact in this solicitation via email, no later than 2 December 2011. Include company's name, identification number, participant's name, email address and phone number and the names of the proposed attendees, company role (prime contractor or subcontractor). Provide this information by e-mail to the following address: Julio.Cabrera@us.army.mil and label the e-mail with the firm name and title: Interested Vendor for Site Visit to Site Prep HCA. Obtaining the Solicitation: The solicitation will be issued unrestricted to allow U.S. and non U.S. firms to participate. The solicitation, including drawings and specifications, will be available for download from FedBizOpps - website: http://www.fbo.gov. The solicitation, and the associated documents for this project, will not be issued on CD unless there are technical difficulties that cannot be promptly corrected on the FedBizOpps website. All notifications of changes to this solicitation shall be made through the Internet only. It is the contractor's responsibility to check for any posted changes to the solicitation. The solicitation and any future amendments to the solicitation will be available for download via the FedBizOpps website on or about 3 December 2011. CCR/FBO Registration: Potential offerors MUST register at http://www.fedbizopps.gov in order to receive notification and/or changes to this solicitation. This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it obligate the Government to pay for any proposal preparation costs. Availability of Funds: Funds are not presently available for this project. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor received notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer. Contemplating Awardee: Since the contemplating contract is to be awarded by the contracting activity located in Fort Sam Houston, Texas and to be performed in Guatemala, the offerors must meet the following two requirements for OCONUS: (1) DFARS 252.225-7042, "Authorization to Perform" - The Offeror has been duly authorized to operate and to do business in the country or countries in which the contract is to be performed, and (2) FAR 52.236-7, "Permits and Responsibilities" - The Contractor shall, without additional expense to the Government, be responsible for obtaining any necessary licenses and permits, and for complying with any host government and political subdivisions laws, codes, and regulations applicable to the performance of the work.
