- This is a notice of intent, not a request for a proposal. A solicitation document will not be issued and proposals will not be requested. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) on behalf of the National Institute of Neurological Disorder and Stroke (NINDS) intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a noncompetitive basis to Rees Scientific, located at 1007 Whitehead Road; Ext Ste 1; Trenton, NJ 08638, for the manufacturing and installation of one (1) Enterprise Centron environmental monitor. The Enterprise Centron environmental monitor offers a powerful and reliable centralized solution. System includes two (2) Node Licenses capable of monitoring up to 128 inputs each. Includes RAID Dual Level Data Redundancy, telephone dialer up to four total dialers, max 16 inputs with Centron SQL software, SQL database, customizable Crystal reports, 21 CFR11 security module, auto backup software, SQL server standard edition base software with 10 client access licenses, V2-NET and validation and system upgrades. Rees Scientific is the current provider of the freezer alarm system in the NINDS laboratory and is the only known manufacturer that is able to connect with the current system. They can provide sources and supplies necessary to maintain coverage of the freezer system as well as 24/7 customer support. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures using FAR Part 12 and is exempt from the requirements of FAR Part 6, Competition Requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
