- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS REQUEST IS FOR PLANNING PURPOSES, AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AN INVITATION FOR BIDS, REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTES, OR AN INDICATION THAT THE GOVERNMENT WILL CONTRACT FOR THE ITEMS CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT REIMBURSE RESPONDENTS FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH SUBMISSION OF THE INFORMATION BEING REQUESTED OR REIMBURSE EXPENSES INCURRED TO INTERESTED PARTIES FOR RESPONSES. Space and Missile Systems Center, Military Satellite Communications (MILSATCOM) Systems Directorate requests information and feedback from industry regarding this Draft Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) Solicitation for the study and demonstration of affordable design concepts and associated documents. The study/demonstration will consist of three phases: Phase I: Design Concept Development and Demonstration; Phase II (Optional): Design Concept Validation, and Phase III (Optional): Interoperability Demonstration. This draft solicitation includes the BAA, Attachments, and Bidder's Library documents to which MILSATCOM is seeking information and feedback. The list of Attachments and Bidder's Library documents is located in Part One, Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Protected MILSATCOM BAA. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 517410. The small business size standard is $15 Million.
