- The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 541330. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) intends to issue a no cost modification to extend the period of performance by five and a half months for contract N63394-04-D-1262. The contractor is CACI Technologies, Incorporated, Chantilly, Virginia. The modification will be issued on a sole-source basis to CACI for continued systems engineering, technical, training, software and logistics services in support of the Integrated Ship Defense (ISD). The services provided under this contract are in support of Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) MK2 which is a U.S. Navy ACAT 1 program and includes the Combat Systems & Interior Communications (CS&IC) Switchboards. This modification will allow sufficient time to award the competitive SeaPort-e follow-on contract currently in process. The anticipated date of modification award is 12 December 2011. See Numbered Note 22. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days (thirty days if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
