- Description
- The purpose of this notice is to comply with the synopses and pre-solicitation notice requirements of FAR 5.2 - Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions. Any solicitation resulting from this notice will be handled in accordance with FAR 5.102(d); therefore, availability of any resulting solicitation package will be limited to this electronic medium. Accordingly, interested vendors are encouraged to register themselves as an interested vendor. The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Transition Initiatives in Sudan (TIS). The purpose of this solicitation will be to provide USAID/Sudan with a quick response mechanism to support the Administration's effort to seek creative and flexible programs to address needs in Sudan, which is considered the highest foreign policy priority on the continent. TIS will complement and enhance the rest of the USAID/Sudan portfolio by supporting the government and people of Sudan by promoting stabilizing influences, i.e. tangible evidence of peace dividends in vulnerable (conflict-prone) communities through the implementation of small activities and grants. USAID will issue an RFP on or about 15 days from the posting of this notice. Please do not consider this announcement as an RFP, and do not submit your proposals until a formal RFP is posted in the FedBizOpps website: http://www.FedBizOpps.gov. This notice does not obligate USAID to award a contract, nor does it commit the U.S. Government to pay any cost incurred in the preparation and submission of proposals. Any questions regarding this notice should be directed to William Reynolds, USAID Contracting Officer, at wireynolds@usaid.gov.
