- Description
- ToxCast Prioritization of Environmentally Relevant Chemicals: Chemical Procurement, Analysis, Sample Preparation, and Management Services The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Office of Research and Development (ORD), has a requirement for contractor supplied laboratory testing and analysis services in support of the National Computation Center for Toxicology (NCCT), Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. The contractor will procure and supply hundreds to thousands of requested chemical samples, confirm chemical identities based on vendor-provided documentation and by analytical means, solubilize and formulate into appropriate dilutions, plate into high-throughput formats, ship samples to ToxCast partners and assay vendors, provide automated sample handling procedures for hundreds to thousands of chemicals, and maintain chemical data management for accurate sample tracking. The ToxCast chemical inventory is publicly available and contains approximately 1000 compounds that are representative of the chemical domains from which EPA will select an estimated minimum of 500 and an estimated maximum of 20,000 chemical samples for procurement under this contract (see http://www.epa.gov/ncct/toxcast/chemicals.html). EPA anticipates the award of an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, firm-fixed price, Task Order contract with an ordering period of five-years. The NAICS code is 325411, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. This is a total small business set-aside. A draft copy of the performance work statement (PWS) is posted on EPA?s website at: http://www.epa.gov/oamrtpnc/12325411/index.htm. Any supporting documentation and/or relevant information (if applicable) concerning this procurement will be posted on Fedbizopps.gov and EPA?s website at: http://www.epa.gov/oamrtpnc/12325411/index.htm. The Request for Proposal (RFP) is expected to be issued December 2011. Proposals will be due approximately 30 days after issuance of the RFP and it will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the RFP is posted for any amendments. Questions are to be submitted in writing to David Murphy, Contracting Officer, at Murphy.david@epa.gov.
