- BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and IMF (PSNSY) have a requirement to renew the maintenance and support of the Business Objects Software for the Regional Maintenance Centers to support AIM4RMC. The Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI)has been implemented at PSNSY. The Navy's policy requires the use of only Department of Navy Application and Database Management System (DADMS) approved software to be installed on NMCI workstations. Business Objects Software is "Approved" in DADMS. PSNS presently uses this software and needs to renew maintenance support for FY12. For consistency of operation and efficiency of use, PSNSY requires compatibility of this software. Therefore, to maintain software compatibility and in accordance with the Navy policy and DADMS approval, procurement is brand specific to the specified software.
