Description
This is a market survey for planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey or otherwise pay for information solicited. The Government will utilize the information provided for planning purposes only to develop the acquisition strategy for future requirements. All information submitted will be held in a confidential status. The Army Contracting Command-Rock Island is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources interested in and capable of providing all the needed labor, equipment, materials, and services to deliver and supply propane gas and contractor-owned propane tanks to the Tooele Army Depot, Utah. There are 25 propane tanks located throughout the Tooele Army Depot that are owned by the current contractor. The propane tanks vary in size from 122 gallons to 1000 gallons; please see attachment that provides the sizes and locations. Coordination of any required "change-out" of the current tanks for tanks provided by any new contractor would be managed by the Tooele Army Depot technical point of contact. The contractor may be required to place new concrete slabs in order to set replacement contractor-owned propane tanks.. The exchange of propane tanks will need to be completed in a "seamless" manner minimizing any potential for disruption in services to the installation. The required service will necessitate frequent monitoring of the tanks to ensure adequate fill status. Tooele Army Depot will require the tanks to be filled regularly, i.e., maintained at no less than a 50% capacity. This will require the contractor to fill the tanks at least once per week and in emergency cases. The estimated total volume needed, based on previous usage, is 60,000-70,000 gallons per year. The quantity will vary month to month. An estimated quantity will be requested each month and then invoiced and paid each month based on actual quantity received. Interested parties have 30 calendar days from the date of this publication to submit information to be considered in the development of the acquisition strategy for this item. Any response to this market survey should reference the following: Propane for Tooele Army Depot. Please submit to: U.S. Army Contracting Command-Rock Island, ATTN: CCRC-ID, Ms. Alejandra Figueroa and Ms. Vicki Ahlgrim, 1 Rock Island Arsenal, Bldg. 60, Rock Island, IL 61299-8000, email: Alejandra.c.figueroa.civ@mail.mil and Vicki.l.ahlgrim.civ@mail.mil.
