- Award of the Firm Fixed Price contract for the Air Force Technical Applications Center (AFTAC) United States Atomic Energy Detection System (USAEDS) Network has been made under the Small Business Set-Aside Category to UltiSat, Inc., in the amount of $12,716,118.6. The award decision was made based on a Best Value analysis of each offeror’s Past Performance, Technical/Management Approach and Cost/Price. For this evaluation, Past Performance was comparatively equal to Technical/Management approach. When combined, Past Performance and Technical/Management approach were significantly more important than Cost Price. The p eriod of performance is 01 December 2010 to 30 April 2012 for the base period with eight one-year option periods. This contract will establish an integration contract that will meet all the requirements for connecting the remote detection facilities/geophysical locations/Service Points and the AFTAC analysis facilities within the continental United States (CONUS) and outside continental U.S. (OCONUS), in support of the AFTAC USAEDS Network. The USAEDS Network is a worldwide network of geophysical technologies deployed to detect, identify, and locate a nuclear explosion underground, underwater, in the atmosphere, and in space. Request for Proposal (RFP) HC1013-10-R-2005 was issued as a small business set-aside full and open competition and awarded to UltiSat, a Small Business. The Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization, Scott Air Force Base, IL is the contracting activity.
