- Regarding experience with software development and company CMMI certification: Q1: Does this only apply to the "experience with software development"? (i.e. have a software engineer that is CMMI Level 2) A1: Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement approach whose goal is to help organizations improve their performance. CMMI can be used to guide process improvement across a project, a division, or an entire organization. Therefore, a software engineer brings knowledge of the model, however the project, division or organization may not be structured as such. Q2: "and company CMMI certification." Does this mean that the company has to have a CMMI Level certification also? A2: At this time the requirement is for the Offeror to provide a detailed narrative that addresses CMMI Level 3 certification or equivalent. However, please refer to the final Request for Proposal for the firm requirement.
