Description

The VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS), Buffalo, NY intends to solicit for Architectural Services for the award of a contract to REMODEL WARD 9C at the VA Western New York Healthcare, 3495 Bailey Avenue, BUFFALO, NY 14215. The North American Industry Classification System code is 541310 and the numerical size standard is $4.5 Million. The construction estimate is between $2,000,000. and $5,000,000. a.Work will include but it not limited to: Patient environment enhancements including the addition of private and semi-private patient rooms with shower/restrooms. The ward will also have support service enhancements such as the Nurses station, clean and dirty utility rooms, communications closets, etc. HVAC enhancements will include the installation of a new heating, cooling and ventilation unit in the new Mechanical room including related ductwork and controls for Ward 9C. Unit shall be sized for Ward 9C and for future load of Ward 10C. In addition to the improvements defined above the project shall address the following: i.Update the Ward to comply with all current Code Requirements ii.Updated Electrical distribution and Critical Power iii.Updated Fire Alarm/Protection iv.Updated mechanical and plumbing v.Updated data/phone system, nurse call/code blue vi.Hazardous material/ asbestos assessment/removal etc. THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. This is NOT a solicitation for technical or cost proposals. Further information is forthcoming. A request for technical packages (330's) will be made in approximately one week.
