Description
ISSUE DATE: 13 December 2011. Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, and applicable licensing and/or accreditation required to perform testing, inspection, and reporting the condition of weight handling equipment including cranes, hoists, forklifts, and chain falls and other various wieght handling and material handling equipment within the service area of the USCG Civil Engineering Unit Providence. The service area inlcudes various Coast Guard installations in the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey. It is the Coast Guards intention to make a single award firm-fixed price contract for these services. The Solicitation includes a Base Period of one year with 4 one year optional periods for continued performance (for a total of 5 years). The total estimated value of the procurement, inclusive of all optional periods, is between $250,000 and $500,000. Service Contract Act wage rates are applicable. Solicitation packages will be available on or about 13 December 2011. The tentative date set for receipt of bids is scheduled for 12 January 2012 at 2:00 pm. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310, Commercial and Industrial Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance, with a small business size standard of $7.0 million. This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in the repair and maintenance of commercial and industrial machinery and equipment. This acquisition is issued pursuant to FAR Part 19 and is issued 100% Total Small Business Set Aside. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. This solicitation is issued subject to the availability of funds in accordance with FAR 52.232-18.
