- U.S. GOVERNMENT The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) seeks Expressions of Interest to lease the following space: State: Puerto Rico City: Aguadilla Delineated Area: Rafael Hernandez International Airport, Aguadilla, PR. Minimum Sq. Ft. (RSF): 207,797 SF Minimum Sq. Ft. (ABOA): 31,320 SF Space Type: Hangar and related space Parking Spaces (Total): Approximately 90 Full Term: 20 Years Firm Term: 20 Years Option Term: None Additional Requirements: Offered space will contain approximately 20,203 square feet of Hangar Space. Offered Hangar must have direct access to the airport runways and taxiways. Sole tenancy is a requirement. The Government currently occupies space at Hangar #575 Rafael Hernandez International Airport, Aguadilla, PR. The Government intends to award a succeeding lease using Other Than Full and Open Competition. The Government is considering alternative space if economically advantageous. In making this determination, the Government will consider, among other things, the availability of alternate space that potentially can satisfy the Government's requirements, as well as costs likely to be incurred through relocating, such as physical move costs, replication of tenant improvements and telecommunications infrastructure, and non-productive agency downtime. The Government will use this analysis to determine whether to compete the lease requirement or pursue a sole source justification. Offered space must meet Government requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic and sustainability standards per the terms of the Lease. Offered space shall not be in the 100-year flood plain. Expressions of Interest Due: By 4:00 pm on December 5, 2011 Expressions of interest should include the following information: Name and location of offered space Estimated rental rates Name and contact information of offering party. The Government will not accept any sub-leasing proposals.
