- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 15 Network Contracting Activity, intends to negotiate a sole source FSS procurement in accordance with Far Part 8 with Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS) under the authority of FAR 8.405-6. This procurement is for DSS to provide the Clinical Information Systems (CIS) DataBridge Suite Hospital Perpetual License (DataBridge) for the facilities of VISN 15. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price contract for a Perpetual License with Time and Material CLINs for option years' maintenance support and shall include all labor, material, tools, equipment, training, and software/software license, furnish and install the DataBridge. Contractor shall ensure the full functionality of the DataBridge throughout the contract periods. The desired outcome will enable a seamless interface from VistA to an ICU-Clinical Information System, Anesthesia Record Keeping System, and an Analytics Database. Additionally some information will flow back into the VistA Surgery Package (SR100), VistA Imaging, and into electronic progress notes from these systems. This interface will allow for automatically imported anesthesia records and ICU-charting records in.pdf format to VistA Imaging. These automatic transmissions will eliminate the need to scan such records into VistA Imaging. The software shall be compatible with all existing computer programs/operating systems currently installed and shall allow for future upgrades to the existing systems in VISN 15. The appropriate NAICS code is 511210 with a size standard of $25.0M. The FSS solicitation number is VA-255-RQ-0508. All other contract details including full specifications will be included in the Request For Quotes, which will be released on or about December 5, 2011. The anticipated close date will be on or about December 9, 2011. Any contractor who wishes to receive a copy of this RFQ may submit a request in writing.
