Description

THIS IS A TOTAL 100% SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) SET-ASIDE. The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA), Iowa City VA Health Care System intends to issue an Invitation for Bid IIFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract to provide all tools, materials, equipment and labor necessary for completion of general construction project 636A8-12-0004, 'Replace Building 7 Underground Storage Tank' at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Iowa City, Iowa, in accordance with the drawings and specifications. Work includes, but not limited to, removal of existing Underground Storage Tank (UST) and associated piping, installation of new UST and associated piping, replacement of concrete and replacement of leak detection/monitoring of UST/piping. Work includes general construction, alterations, roads, walks, grading, mechanical and electrical work, fuel utility systems, necessary removal of existing structures and construction and certain other items. Work is to be completed within 90 days from the notice to proceed. Specifications and Drawings for submitting a bid will be available at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All respondents must be registered in the CCR database (http://www.ccr.gov) and complete online Representations and Certifications at (http://orca.bpn.gov), along with Vets 100 at (http://vets.dol.gov/vets100/). Bidders must be registered in VetBiz at (http://www.vetbiz.gov/). Amendments to the solicitation will be posted at (http://www.fedbizopps.gov/). All parties must obtain amendments to the solicitation through this web site. Hard copies will not be mailed. Interested parties must go to the web site to be entered on the Interested Vendors List and/or to obtain copies of the Interested Vendors List. All questions must be submitted in writing to the issuing office via email to (felecia.beamen@va.gov). Issue Date is tentatively scheduled for Dec. 12, 2012. The Pre-bid meeting/Site-visit will be announced upon Solicitation issuance. Bid Opening Date is tentatively scheduled for Jan. 20, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. (local time), in Bldg. #21, Room #1B03f at the Iowa City VAMC, Iowa City, IA, but exact date may vary depending on issuance of the solicitation. The applicable NAICS Code is 238290, with the applicable size standard being $14.0 million. Cost range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00.
