Description
This is a sole source requirement to AAI Corporation, 124 Industry Lane, Hunt Valley, MD 21030 (cage: 97384) to provide Baringa Ultraviolet Missile Warning System Test Sets for the HH-60U aircraft procured by the Operational Loss Replacement (OLR) Program. The USAF maintains and operates a fleet of HH-60G Pave Hawk helicopters that are distributed across seven Major Commands (MAJCOMs). These helicopters are used for a variety of missions, including combat search and rescue, infiltration, ex-filtration and re-supply of special operations forces in day, night or marginal weather conditions. The USAF HH-60G is a variant of the Army UH-60A/L model with a number of modifications, including in-flight refueling capability and upgrade modifications to the navigation and communications systems. Due to the aging fleet and aircraft losses in combat, the USAF formed an Operational Loss Replacement (OLR) program to replace HH-60G aircraft. The OLR program acquisition strategy is to acquire Army UH-60M baseline helicopters and modify these aircraft to meet user requirements. The newly assigned Mission Design Series for these modified aircraft will be HH-60U. The Baringa Test Sets are needed to maintain the operational capability of the Common Missile Warning System (CMWS) installed on the aircraft. The required Baringa part number is EU00075-03-FG. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is NOT an Invitation for Bid (IFB) or a Request for Proposal (RFP). This SSS/RFI is part of ongoing Government conducted market research for planning purposes. It is NOT a solicitation. The Government will not provide reimbursement for costs associated with this request. Responses will be treated as information only and will not be used as a proposal. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one or a limited number of responsible sources, and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. For additional information and/or to communicate concerns, if any, pertaining to this acquisition, all potential offerors should contact the buyer, Rick Saltsman at richard.saltsman@wpafb.af.mil or 937-255-8574, by 1600 EST 14 Dec 2011.
