- The William Jennings Bryan Dorn VAMC located at 6439 Garners Ferry Road Columbia, South Carolina intends to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) numbered VA247-12-R-0027 for project # 544-09-127 entitled 'Waterproofing Bldg 8' on or about the week of December 12, 2011. Unless additional notice is given or this notice is modified, the full solicitation will be posted to Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov). This solicitation is 100% set-aside for Service disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The applicable NAICS code will be 236220 with an applicable small size standard of $33.5 Million. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. Performance period is 180 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. There will be a pre-bid site investigation for this project and all prospective offerors are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-bid site visit will be included in the soliciation package. Offerors are advised not to contact the Contracting Officer or Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) to schedule a pre-bid site visit. This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming RFP solicitation to satisfy the requirements of FAR 5.201 and 5.203. The Contracting Oficer will not be able to answer any technical questions pertaining to this notice until a solicitation is issued. Offerors are instructed not to contact the COTR directly. Questions will only be answered by the Contracting Officer that are received by Request for Information (RFI). The Contracting Officer will not maintain a bidders mailing list. All interested parties should register via FEDBIZOPPS interested vendors list. Do not contact the Contracting Officer for a listing of General Contractor's interested in the solicitation. It is the responsibility of the offeror to monitor and download amendments from FEDBIZOPPS which may be issued to this solicitation. In accordance FAR 52.204-7, Required Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in accordance with FAR 2.102, VAAR 802.101, VetBiz Registration, prospective firms must be registered in CCR and in the VetBiz databases prior to award. SDVOSB must also be visible and CVE verified. The scope of work for this project is to correct the waterproofing on the western exterior wall and ceiling of the existing boiler plant bldg 8.
