- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Sandstone, Minnesota intends to issue a solicitation IFBP04131200001, for the requirements of demolish and dispose of an elevated water tower and above ground storage tank with steel containment wall. This solicitation is set aside for 100% Small Business. The contract type is firm-fixed price. The successful contractor shall provide all material, labor, equipment and expertise for the construction project. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238910 which contain a size standard of $14 million. The period of performance is the contractor will have 180 days to commence demolition and 5 days after commencement to complete the project. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must have a DUNS number and be registered at www.ccr.gov and http://orca.bpn.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The successful contractor shall be responsible for all applicable federal, state and local taxes. No tax exemption certificate will be issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons. The solicitation will be made available on or about November 30, 2011, and will be posted to the General Services Administration, Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to insure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. The anticipated date for receipts of quotes is December 30, 2011. Payments will be made using Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Each offerer is required per 52.212-3 to complete their representations and certifications via On-line Representations and Certifications Applications (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov. A site visit is scheduled for December 12, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. This will be the only site visit prior to the solicitation due date.
