- Amendment #2: Amendment 2 is being issued to update the solicitation release date and proposal due dates. The Solicitation Release date will be changed from on or near 18 November 2011 to on or near 12 December 2011 . The Proposal due date will be changed from 19 December 2011 to 6 January 2012 . Amendment #1: Amendment 1 is being issued to update the Solicitation Number. The number will be changed from N00078-11-R-2013 to N00178-12-R-2000. The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren, Virginia, 22448-5l00 has the requirement for preventative, remedial, and per-call maintenance of Government owned multi-vendor computer systems and associated peripheral networking devices located at the Integrated Warfare Systems Laboratory Dahlgren, Virginia. The equipment consists of mainly Hewlett Packard, Digital Equipment Corporation (Compaq) (Alpha, and Intel) and peripherals and networking components from Digital Equipment Corporation and other manufacturers. This equipment list includes the following types of equipment: Storage Works cabinets, HP 9000 Servers, HP 9000 Workstations, AlphaServer 4100, AlphaServer 7000, Compaq DL585 Server, Compaq DL360 Server, and HP J6000 Workstation and DECserver 700 Terminal servers. The above list is not exhaustive but includes the types and brand names of required equipment maintenance. A list of all the equipment will accompany the solicitation. Several of the systems are unique configurations integrated by Digital Custom Systems and Services (Compaq) for specific purposes. Principal period of maintenance (PPM) for on-call maintenance shall be 16 hours a day, Monday Friday, 0500 2100, excluding Federal holidays. Per-call maintenance will be applicable outside the PPM. For this requirement, the required response time is 4 hours and the maximum down time is 12 hours. Response time and downtown deductions may be assessed. Maintenance personnel are required to possess at least a Secret Level Clearance. The contract term of one (1) year plus two (2) twelve month option years will begin 1 April 2012. Commercial item solicitation N00178-11-R-2013 utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR 13.5 will be issued on or near 18 November 2011. Proposals will be due approximately 19 December 2011. Orals will be held in January of 2012. Award is anticipated to be made about on or about 1 March 2012. Proposals from all responsible sources shall be considered. The solicitation and any applicable amendments will be posted on FBO and NECO web pages cited above and the NSWCDD Procurement Division Business Opportunities website http://www/nswc.navy.mil/supply/busop.htm. Solicitations and amendments will only be available at the websites above. Hardcopies will not be provided.
