- NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to procure meeting space and AV support for the 2012 Office of General Counsel (OGC) annual seminar conference, in Alexandria, VA 22311, in accordance to FAR 13 “ Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Office of General Counsel requires the conference to be in or within propinquity of Alexandria, VA 22311 for easy access to the speakers providing this year ™s training. In addition, the facility needs to accept United States Government per diem rates for overnight accommodation, have available parking spaces, provide cash concessions (breakfast and lunch), provide the necessary AV equipment, and the required number and size of training rooms to conduct the daily training for approximately 500 attendees and guest speakers. The period of performance is 29 April 2012 through 04 May 2012. The daily overnight accommodations are as follows: Sunday “ 125, Monday “ 180, Tuesday “ 180, Wednesday “ 180, and Thursday “ 125. This procurement is being processed through other than full and open competition as authorized under FAR 6.302-1. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Seminary Road Hotel Associates DBA Hilton Alexandria Mark Center on a sole source basis. Thorough market research, conducted by Office of General Counsel, determined Hilton Alexandria Mark Center is the only facility able to meet this requirement. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by the specified response date. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. However, the Government will consider information received by the specified response date. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice. The NAICS code is 721110.
