Description
This synopsis makes 6 amendments to the information originally posted under W58RGZ-11-R-0232: 1) Change in contract type: It is anticipated that the AFM Contract will be a definite delivery, definite quantity type contract. 2) Change in solicitation number: Due to the change of contract type, the solicitation number is no longer W58RGZ-11-R-0232. The new solicitation number is W58RGZ-12-R-0102. Fed Biz Opps data previously posted can still be referenced under W58RGZ-11-R-0232. All new information as of 29 November 2011, will be posted under W58RGZ-12-R-0102. 3) Number of awards: The overarching plan for the AFM requirements is to divide the Continental United States (CONUS) into four geographic regions and Outside Continental United States (OCONUS) into two geographic regions. The Request for Proposal will culminate in a definite delivery, definite quantity contract for a base year and four one-year options; however, the Government reserves the right to make split awards should it be in the Government's best interest to do so. Should the contemplated split awards be made, the Government anticipates making five contract awards, one for each CONUS region and one contract for the two OCONUS regions. 4) Contract period of performance: It is anticipated that the contract will be a five (5) year contract consisting of a base and four (4) option years. 5) Reiteration of timeline: a. It is anticipated that the Draft RFP will be released by 31 December 2011. b. It is anticipated the RFP will be released during 1st quarter calendar year 2012. 6) A revised Q&A document has been posted with this synopsis. Questions 1-56 are duplicated from the previous Q&A document; questions 57-58 are new as of 29 November 2011 (LSFMA_AFM_Industry_Q&A_29Nov11).
