- Performance Specification Common Crash Resistant Troop Seat System (CCRTSS) THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION ISSUANCE. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes only as defined in FAR 15.201(e) to obtain comments on preliminary requirement specifications - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future. This request for information does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to this RFI; all costs associated with responding to this RFI will be solely at the interested partys' expense. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), in support of PMA-276 H-1 UH-1Y Utility Helicopter Program Office, is seeking industry comments for sources sought notice for information and planning purposes. The Common Crash Resistant Troop Seat System (CCRTSS) requirement must meet crash attenuation, structural integrity, and accommodates the full range of troop anthropometry. The CCRTSS is comprised of the crash resistant seat, the restraint system, the aircraft interface/rein enforcement attaching hardware, and all aircraft modifications required for the installation of the CCRTSS at each seat station. NAVAIR intends to use the information provided in response to this Sources Sought Synopsis/Request for Information (RFI) to aid in refining its acquisition strategy. The applicable NAICS code for this effort is 336413 - Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing. Responses are due no later than 30 December 2011, 16:00 EST. Responses shall be submitted via e-mail only to Lisa Troccoli, the Contract Specialist, at lisa.troccoli@navy.mil. Proprietary information, if any, should be minimized and MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED. NO CLASSIFIED INFORMATION shall be submitted in response to this RFI. Questions regarding this announcement shall be submitted in writing by e-mail to the Contract Specialist. A responder may request clarification or submit technical questions regarding this RFI in writing for any requirement that is unclear by sending an e-mail to the Contract Specialist. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY to identify sources that can provide capabilities to the Counter-Networks and Illicit Trafficking Program and receive comments regarding the requirements documentation. The information provided in the RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. The Navy has not made a commitment to procure any of the items discussed, and release of this RFI should not be construed as such a commitment or as authorization to incur cost for which reimbursement would be required or sought. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned, but will be handled in accordance with applicable proprietary markings. Oral communications ARE NOT acceptable in response to this notice. Sources shall include in their information, a detailed capabilities statement stating their capabilities in providing the same or similar items described in this notice, a point of contact with phone and email information, business status, business status (Socio-Economic Factors: 8(a), HUBZONE, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business), business size, and a positive statement of interest to submit a proposal.
