- Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN SOURCES SOUGHT VA-249-12-I-0011 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN is seeking qualified Engineering firms to provide Engineering Services to: "UPGRADE FIRE SPRINKLER PROTECTION".The construction cost range is between $1,000,000- $2,000,000. The firm must be located within a 250 miles radius of the VA Medical Center,1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN. THIS IS A 100% SMALL BUSINESS SETASIDE. The project will evaluate, modify, and upgrade the existing fire protection sprinkler system. The 1.2 million square foot facility is currently 100% sprinkled. The firm shall be listed in www.ccr.gov (Central Contractor Registration ) under NAICS code 541330 and be capable of providing services including, but not limited to: surveying, investigation, and documentation of existing space and utility systems in order to gain the necessary knowledge and insight to prepare quaility accurate documents in a professional and competent manner. Prime contractor should have registered architects and engineers as members of the firm or team with experience engineering and design. The following additional licensed/registered specialty disciplines should be members of the firm, or team with demonstrable expertise in their respective fields: Cost Estimator, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineers. Constract subject to the availability of funds. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Firms desiring consideration MUST SUBMIT TWO (2) COPIES OF STANDARD FORM [SF] 330 NO LATER THAN JANUARY 3, 2012. The firm will be evaluated based on the following criteria (1) Professional Qualifications necessry for the performance of the required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the Engineering Firm with similar projects; (3) Past performance on contracts with government agencies (4) Location of Firms; (5) Experience and roles of key personnel on specifically related projects; (6) Cost Control and eistimating effectiveness.
