- Description
- The Corps of Engineers has a need for a contract for Concrete Saw Cutting for Floating Mooring Bitt Extensions. The work is located at New Cumberland Island Locks and Dam, Ohio River, near Stratton, Ohio. The work is located on the River Wall and Middle Wall at the Main (riverward) Chamber. The Main Lock Chamber is in Hancock County, West Virginia. This work involves saw cutting of concrete and embedded items. Removal and disposal of the concrete and associated metal items will not be required. The floating mooring bitts will be removed by others prior to commencement of work by the Contractor. All Contractor and subcontractor employees working on this contract are required to have a favorable background check in accordance with 'Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12: Policy for a Common Identification Standard for Federal Employees and Contractors' (HSPD-12). Magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be issued approximately December 7, 2011 on-line at the Federal Business Opportunities website; therefore, requests for hardcopies of the specifications and drawings will not be honored. Requests must be made by registering for this quotation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. Once registered, vendors, plan rooms and printing companies will be able to download this Request for Quotation on or after the above issuance date.
