Description
The purpose of this amendment is to answer the questions that were received in response to this posting. Questions and Answers for UV Detector RFQ 1) Please confirm if the instrument requires a standard 19-inch rack frame/enclosure or 23-inch one. The instrument must be able to fit in a 19 inch rack. It does not require standard 19 inch rack mounts. 2) Can you provide any other detailed information about the external blower systems to be developed by EPA ORD? For example, dimensions, flow rate, interface, etc. The design of the external blower is a function of the instrument cell volume. The volume must be completely exchanged in between sampling events. There are significant design and final cost advantages for a smaller cell vs a larger cell. The instrument has to interface with a 10m long sample line, size to be determined by flow rate and pressure drop requirements. 3) If the instrument has a built-in pump for active air sampling, is it acceptable? If so, what is the preferred sampling flow rate? An internal pump is not required. 4) What is the expected time for need or delivery, if there is one? No later than March 1, 2012 5) How many units would potentially be needed for this purchase order? Any information for future units needed would be helpful too. One unit is anticipated. No additional units are planned. 6) What is the anticipated budget range for this PO? The EPA is unable to provide this information. 7) What is the payment term? Would the total price or cost for the PO be paid before delivery, after delivery, or several scheduled payments? Payment will be made Net 30 after successful delivery and acceptance. 8) Please advise if any further specifications/manufacturer part numbers are available for the items being requested in order to quote for the exact product required. No additional information is available. 9) Is there a specific format required for the technical submission? No 10) Please advise if any further specifications / manufacturer part numbers are available for items requested in subject solicitation in order to quote for the exact product required. No additional information is available.
