- NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, SAO Central, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to negotiate a sole source contract under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source for manufacturing/supplier/distributor of the following items: Medrad Angiojet Rheolytic Thrombectomy System; Ultra Console, Catalog No. 105650-001 Medrad, Inc. is the sole provider of a device with the capabilities offered by this system. The associated NAICS code for this system is 334510 with a size standard of 500 employees. The vendor: Medrad, Inc. 100 Global View Drive, Warrendale, PA 15086-7601. A firm fixed price purchase order contract. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. This is not a Request for Proposal. However, any other contractor that provides sufficient documentation that they manufacturer a device that has the same capabilities must submit their technical capabilities, to include, technical specifications of a similar product line to the items listed above; as well as past performance information specific to this request, price and delivery time upon ordering. This information will be reviewed by the Government's technical representatives for consideration for future requirements. Email statements are required.
