Description
This is only a request for information, do not submit pricing. The Government is only looking for sources that are available to meet the requirements described below. Submit all information electronically to Marisela.Galarza@Va.Gov Phone inquiries will not be accepted. The peripheral QCT scanner is needed for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, Albuquerque, NM. This request is for the purchase of a peripheral QCT scanner able to provide true volumetric measurement of bone density and can separate the Cortical shell from the Trabecular bone compartment for early detection of changes in response to testosterone replacement. Therefore the results from the peripheral QCT taken together with areal bone density from DXA and bone markers of turnover, will provide a comprehensive assessment of the impact of testosterone replacement in hypogonal men as a function of CYP19A1 polymorphism. Line Item 0001: XCT pQCT Scanner, Manufacture: Orthometrix, Inc.; PN: 2000L. (1 each) Line Item 0002: Rotating Collimator For Adjustable slice Thickness. (1 each) Line Item 0003: In Vivo Rat Holder. (1 each) Line Item 0004: In Vivo Mouse Holder. (1 each) Line Item 0005: XCT Computer System W/19' Super VGA Monitor & HP Deskjet Printer (1 each). Include Warranty & User's Manual. Line Item 0006: Shipping, Handling, Installation & Training. The scanner must be able to provide the following: a.pQCT scanner will provide volumetric measurement of bone density. b.pQCT scanner will provide comprehensive data gathering/image analysis. c.The pQCT scanner will include bone geometry parameters, built-in DBF program and 12 solid state detectors. d.Total package will include arm holder, tibia/foot holder and customized high adjustable table. e.Package should also include a rotating collimator for adjustable slice thickness (2mm, 1mm, 0.5mm. 0.2mm) for in vitro and animal research only. This should also include an in vivo rat holder and an in vivo mouse holder. f.The pQCT scanner should have the XCT computer system with 19' Super VGA Monitor and HP Desk Jet printer. g. Standard one year warranty and support on new equipment.
