- The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 9 Contracting Office, 1639 Medical Center Parkway, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 is soliciting for Courier Services to be provided to the Tennessee Valley Healthcare System VA Medical Center, 1310 24th Avenue South, Nashville, TN; James C. York VA Medical Center, 3400 Lebanon Pike, Murfreesboro, TN; and James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, Corner of Lamont & Veterans Way, Mountain Home, TN 37684 in accordance with the Statement of Work that will be provided in the solicitation. The NAICS code is 492110 and the small business size standard for this procurement is 1,500 employees. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). The Contractor shall provide regularly scheduled pickups and deliveries of various items as identified in this Statement of Work between the Medical Centers and the Community Outpatient Clinics. Items to be transported include the following: a)Surgical Instruments and trays b)Laboratory specimens included, but not limited to: blood, urine, body fluids and/or c)biopsies, viral cultures, BPN specimens, influenza screens d)Radiology Films e)Interoffice Mail f)Basic office supplies, such as paper, files, pencils, paperclips, etc. g)Equipment that does not exceed 75 lbs. h)Drugs for the pharmacy All interested Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firms must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov/ and registered at the VetBiz Vendor Information Pages: https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/Public/Register/Benefits.aspx as a SDVOSB firm. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The anticipated period of performance for this procurement will be an eight (8) month base period of February 1, 2012 through September 30, 2012, plus four (4) additional one-year option periods that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government.
