- Description
- The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to issue a delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement N00019-12-G-0005 to BAE Systems Controls, Inc. (BAE), 600 Main Street, Johnson City, NY 13790-1889, on a sole-source basis. This effort will provide the Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) support for the Interim Defensive Weapon System (IDWS) during a workup period for a total of 16 weeks. Support will include installation support, troubleshooting, fault isolation, and technical support of the IDWS. BAE is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of the IDWS, and at this time BAE's IDWS is the only IDWS that has been integrated into and flight qualified on the MV-22. BAE is the only source that possesses the engineering, technical data and requisite knowledge of the IDWS design, fabrication, performance operation, maintenance and support characteristics to fulfill this requiremnet.
