- The Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to The Hamilton Sundstrand, 4400 Ruffin Road, San Diego, CA 92186, (Cage Code: 55820) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Market research has revealed this contractor is the manufacturer who maintains the proprietary drawing and is the only source capable of providing the required item. The Fleet Readiness Center (FRC) East Support Team, MCAS Cherry Point, NC intends to procure: Five (5) Tube Assy ™s, part number 450627 Ten (10) Tube Assy ™s, part number 4502349C Ten (10) Tube Assy ™s, part number 450312 Twenty Five (25) Ring, Mating-Carbon Seal, part number 495301 as required to fulfill the Government ™s requirement. These parts are direct replacement parts for the V22 Osprey, Auxiliary Power Unit, and are only available from Hamilton Sundstrand Company. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all quotes received within fifteen (15) days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. Interested parties may identify their interest and unique capabilities to respond to this requirement or submit their quote. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
