- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Bell Helicopter. The contractor shall make design changes to the V-22 Fixture Lock/ POSN-PRGB, to prevent corrosion of the gearbox by adding a new seal per government interim technical directive (ITD) ISEC 5908, Jan. 2011. The contractor shall submit a complete Technical Data Package (TDP) depicting all the modifications made and incorporated for manufacture of the new design to be reviewed by the government. The contractor shall consolidate all supporting documentation to complete the TDP, including Bell Helicopter Process Specifications and Standards. The drawings shall be fully dimensioned drawings without electronic attachments. The Government shall have unlimited data rights for all drawings, specifications and other supporting data. The contractor shall develop, maintain, and submit a program plan showing schedule and progress. The Contractor shall maintain the Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Program to fulfill the requirements defined above. The Government intends to procure the above items under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. However, responsible sources are encouraged to submit a response to this synopsis in writing that contains information that would allow the government to determine whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
