- Synopsis: Request for Information Air University (AU) Eaker College for Professional Development Contract Guest Speaker/Instructor, USAF Wing Commanders Spouses' Seminar General Information: NAICS Code: 611310; SBA Size Standard: $7M Response Deadline: 7 Dec 2011; 4:00 PM (CST) 42nd Contracting Squadron Patrick J Kennerson, Contracting Officer; SrA Joshua Bailey, Contract Specialist; Maxwell AFB, AL 36112 Purpose: THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information from industry for availability of a contract course facilitator/instructor to speak at the Commanders' Professional Development School, USAF Wing Commanders Spouses' Seminar at Maxwell AFB, at no more than 5 events per year with no minimum obligation during the period 1 January 2012 thru 30 September 2012 with the possibility of 4 additional option years. The services requested are very specialized. The facilitator/instructor provides a personal account of his/her experience as a wing commander spouse. The facilitator/instructor will attend all 5 days of the seminar ensuring consistency of presentation by introducing/exiting guest speakers, meeting course objectives, conducting crisis response table top exercises and sharing personal vignettes to strengthen the presentation, moderating spouse panels, providing required lectures relaying personal experiences as a former wing commander spouse and covers in the absence of the course director. All feedback and information received may be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a possible future acquisition. This notice is issued solely for market research and planning purposes and does not constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid, nor does its issuance in any way restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach. No award will be made from this RFI and the Government will not pay for any effort expended in responding to this notice. Responses: This RFI is prepared for planning purposes only and is not restricted to small business. If the government decides to pursue an RFP, portions of your RFI response may be incorporated into the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Sources are discouraged from submitting any information deemed competition-sensitive or proprietary. However, if sources elect to submit competition-sensitive or proprietary information, sources bear sole responsibility for marking said information as such to ensure appropriate safeguarding by the Government. The Government shall not be held liable for any damages incurred if proprietary information is not properly identified. All submissions become Government property and will not be returned. RFI responses on company letterhead are requested for submission electronically and in accordance with the instructions listed here. All questions and responses shall be submitted, via e-mail, to patrick.kennerson@maxwell.af.mil and joshua.bailey@maxwell.af.mil Responses to this RFI should be submitted using MS Word (12 point font) no later than 4:00 PM CST 7 December 2011. Please limit responses to 5 pages written. Responses to all or part of the above RFI will be accepted. Proprietary information should be clearly marked. The Government will NOT be responsible for any proprietary information not clearly marked.
