- Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Procurement______________________________________________________Request for Professional Services ? Promium Element DataSystem Annual Maintenance The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, intends to award a sole source purchase order to the current provider, Promium, L.L.C. for continued annual maintenance of the Promium Element DataSystem. This system is necessary because it is the only system compatible with EPA EDDs under development and a majority of EPA Regional labs use the same laboratory information management system. It has been determined that this acquisition be awarded sole source based on the fact that down time and additional costs would be incurred by EPA. Awarding sole source will allow EPA to continue its service without any lapse in service. The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the requirement is (541511). The period of performance for this award shall not exceed twelve (12) months. EPA has only one known source for this procurement that is in the Government?s best interest. If there are other potential sources, submit your quote. No solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ) is available for this procurement. Nevertheless, any firm or individual that believes it is capable of meeting the EPA requirements described herein may submit a response; which, if received within two (2) calendar days of the date of this announcement, will be considered. Responses to this posting must be submitted via e-mail, no phone calls will be accepted. A determination not to compete the described purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government.
