- Under the authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.501(1)(ii) test program for commercial items, the US Army Medical Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Richman Chemical, 768 N Bethlehem Pike, Suite 204, Ambler, PA 19002-2659, as the responsible source capable of performing synthesis of novel small molecule bioscavengers based on new FDA approved cyclodextrins. USAMRAA will issue a firm-fixed price award and the estimated cost is $48,300.00. The compounds to be synthesized are indicated below. Compounds 1-2, 4-10 g each 90% purity. 1) 2-O-(3-carboxy-4-iodoso-benzyl)-sulfobutylether-beta-cylcodextrin (IBA-CD-SBE). Sulfobutylether substitution n = 4-5. 2) 2-O-(3-carboxy-4-iodoso-benzyl)-hydroxypropyl-beta-cylcodextrin (IBA-CD-HP). Hydroxypropyl substitution n = 4-5. Any responses to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition will be advantageous to the Government. In doing so, interested sources must submit technical capabilities, pricing, and other information which demonstrates the ability to meet the Government's need. This information must be received no later than the 15th day after this notice is posted. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
