- Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN SOURCES SOUGHT VA-249-12-I-0013 The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Memphis, TN is seeking qualified Architectural/Engineering firms that are CVE verified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business to provide design and architectural services to: "Mitigate Security Risks".The construction cost range is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. The Engineering firm must be located within a 250-300 mile radius of the VA Medical Center,1030 Jefferson Avenue, Memphis, TN. The firm shall be listed in CCR under NAICS code 541310 and be capable of providing design services including, but not limited to: surveying, investigation, and documentation of existing space and utility systems in order to gain the necessary knowledge and insight to prepare quaility accurate documents in a professional and competent manner. Prime contractor should have registered architects and engineers as members of the firm or team with experience in design. Firms will design project based on the Physical Security Design Manual for "VA" Facilities. In order to meet the physical security standards of this manual, the design team must include a security specialist as well as a structural blast specialist. These specialists must be experts & have a minimum of five years experience qualified security and blast experts. This manual assumes the use pf qualified security and blast experts. The following additional licensed/registered specialty disciplines should be members of the firm, or team with demonstrable expertise in their respective fields: Cost Estimator, architectural, electrical, mechanical and plumbing engineers. Consract subject to the availability of funds. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded. Firms desiring consideration MUST SUBMIT TWO (2) COPIES OF STANDARD FORM [SF] 330 NO LATER THAN JANUARY 6, 2012. The firm will be evaluated based on the following criteria (1) Professional Qualifications necessry for the performance of the required services; (2) Specialized experience and technical competence of the Engineering Firm with similar projects; (3) Past performance on contracts with government agencies (4) Location of Firms; (5) Experience and roles of key personnel on specifically related projects; (6) Cost Control and eistimating effectiveness.
